Silk Air aircraft from Changi Airport, Singapore to Hyderabad India, Saturday (28/11) night was not too full. However, many passengers who happened to bring children under five, and many of those who weep. Yes, the intention to rest on the flight which took 4.5 hours this was lost, disturbed children crying earlier. My visit to Hyderabad this time is to attend the Congress of World Association of Newspapers (WAN) and World Chief Editor Forum (WEF) November 30 to December 4, 2009. In the past 2008 years, I've attended a similar meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden. At that time I came to fulfill the invitation of the International Center Federation Journalist (ICFJ). Now, I come at the expense of Compass. Sunday morning, I was with Abun Sanda from Compass arrived at the Hotel Hampshire Plaza, the official hotel appointed by the Committee of Congress. Car horns almost never stop in this town. I decided to attend morning mass. Apparently it was not easy to find a Catholic church in Hyderabad. For their help and guidance Sanjay K, Duty Manager Hamsphire Plaza, we took a three-wheeler for the Catholic church. 20 Rupee charge Sanjay said.
In the middle of the road, the driver raised the passengers. Apparently, a friend who raised the driver's friend to help us translate the conversation into English. Bajaj then stopped, and the driver says, "That the church". We saw the sign, "Methodist Church". "No, we're looking for the Catholic Church," I said to the driver. When asked at a Methodist church congregation shown the way to the Church of St. Joseph. Taxi fare early 20 Rupees 500 Rupees so swollen. But we refused and finally only paid 100 Rupees. ass at St. Joseph's shortly. Only one hour, different from the mass-mass in Jakarta which took nearly 90 minutes, and some even two hours. After Mass, we decided to charter three-wheeler for five hours with a 600 rupee tariff. In parts of town we saw the face of acute poverty. Many residents are still asleep at the curb. Damaged road infrastructure. Odor wafted from everywhere. Idul Adha atmosphere still felt. Animals victims, goats and cows, are still available on the street. "This is the face of Makassar in 70a-n," my friend said that it Abun Sanda from Makassar. Although inadequate road infrastructure, especially for the trip with a three-wheeler, we could see interesting places like Golkonda Fort, Charminar, Mecca Mosque. Hyderabad is the capital of the province Undra Pradesh. Hyderabad is known as a place famous pearl sales. Tired around the city because of the dust and smell, we finally decided to go back to the hotel. Previously, we stopped for lunch at McDonald's. Yes, we returned an hour earlier than the original agreement with the three-wheeler driver.
